Devotional Prayer

 

 

You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. Jer. 29:13

 

The LORD gives instruction to us in Ps. 32: 8: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you are to go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

 

We have been given precious promises in the Word of God concerning the ability to enter into a personal relationship with the Living God, what a life transforming promise! Let this sink into your heart …think and ponder on the very fact that the LIVING GOD, the One Who created all things, the One Who gave His Life so we can be reconciled to the Father of creation has invited us to KNOW HIM…to REALLY, REALLY, REALLY KNOW HIM person to Person!

 

New Joy Prayer Ministry has only one purpose: That hearts would grow in their individual personal relationship with God Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, deepen ones walk in the way of truth in meditating on the word of God, prayer, fasting, & worshipping the Lord in Spirit and Truth.

 

There are many aspects by which this takes place in the lives of people.

Prayer– a personal communion with the Lord Jesus Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit will give us clear instruction as to how, when, where and why this is to be done.

Prayer is vital in our deepening and growing into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Through the gift of prayer the Holy Spirit is the one who will teach us to hear the voice of the Lord through study and meditation of God’s word- the Holy Bible. Prayer, study and meditating on God’s word is vital to grow in our knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Prayer is multifaceted: Prayers can be released in a variety of expressions- the key point of prayer is to develop & deepen our relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. It is a RELATIONSHIP- we relate to each other, not a monologue where we only present our requests and petitions before to the Lord, but it is also a time of listening to hear what the Lord wants to speak to our hearts- it is a dialogue, speaking, listening and receiving are involved in prayer.

 

The words: develop and deepen express an area which may be a bit challenging for us…which is – TIME

 

It takes time to develop and it takes time to deepen…but the rewards of this process will result in fruitfulness and maturity. We also need to have a heart, which is willing to be processed.

The development, deepening and the fruitfulness of growth is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. In Galatians 5: 22 we read about the fruitful character of the Spirit, this is a testimony which will be evident in our lives to the glory of God.

 

God is so gracious and loving and He will not go against our will …so the choice of the matter and the question to us individually and corporately is:

Am I willing?

Do I want to grow into a deeper relationship with the One who gave me life?

May our hearts respond with: YES!

Psalm 27:8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.

 

New Joy Prayer Ministry invites you to spend time before the Lord, read His word, grow in a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Take time to listen to His instruction from His word, with the Holy Spirit causing the word to become life in you and to you.

 

Time with the Lord, what a joy and comfort a strengthening of heart with great peace guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phili. 4:6-7

 

Transformation will take place, renewing of the mind and breaking off old mindsets will take place and liberty with joy in the Lord will be more and more evident…prayer is life changing. It will produce a transformation in the heart of all who humble themselves before the Lord to receive His will and direction for their lives.

 

James 4: 6 & 7 instructs us: But he gives us more grace. That is why Scriptures says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you...

 

We pray all would be encouraged to seek the Lord in prayer, more and more…with a heart of desire and passion to know Him, fellowship with Him and grow in greater intimacy with the Lord.

 

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the L ORD with all your heart lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

 

Prov. 2:6 For the L ORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

 

Colossians 2: 6 – So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

 

Colossians 4: 2 – Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
